We are pleased to announce the Call for Applications for the World Entrepreneurship Investment Forum (WEIF) 2022 whichwill be held as an integral part of the “Annual Investment Meeting 2022” in Dubai Expo on March 28th to 31st, 2022, under the patronage of the of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

WEIF has achieved an important milestone and has become the United Nations’ premier dedicated entrepreneurial investment forum. WEIF’s main theme, “Achieving the SDGs through Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Investment,” has been a key factor in its success. WEIF plays a vital role in demonstrating the power of entrepreneurs and innovators in building partnerships to ensure a prosperous future and sustainable solutions to global challenges.

As a partner of this huge event, ICYF calls all youth to not to miss this opportunity which aims to share the best international practices and exchanging experiences on the means of developing an optimum conducive ecosystem and to createlinkages and business partnerships between entrepreneurs around the globe.


Main objectives

• Adopting international best practices to develop an ecosystem that promotes entrepreneurship, national and international investment, innovation and digitalization, with a particular focus on the Arab region and Africa.

• Promote business partnerships and investments for the establishment and expansion of domestic enterprises.

• Emphasize government and financial institution best practices for entrepreneurial resilience.

• Create a platform for entrepreneurs around the world to develop co-investment and trade facilitation.  

• COVID 19 has induced an accelerated technological transformation leading to a new normal; accordingly, it is crucial to support SMEs and entrepreneurs through facilitating their integration in the 4th industrial revolution.

 

WEIF themes on Entrepreneurship and Innovation

WEIF 2022 will address the main theme “Achieving the SDGs through Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Investment Post COVID 19” and will encompass a number of entrepreneurship and innovation sessions;

• Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation Conducive Ecosystem

• Creative Entrepreneurs – Orange Economy

• Technology, Digitalization and Innovation

• Green and Blue Economy

Expected Outcomes

• The Participation of 300 to 350 participants physically and 10,000 virtually consisting of; dignitaries, philanthropists, experts, entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, academicians and others from across the globe with special focus the Arab Region and Africa.

• Participation of major developmental organizations and Funds; Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture; Economic associations and entrepreneur’s networks; Specialized entrepreneurship and MSME agencies; Universities and academicians; Major financial institutions and Technology providers and investors.

• The Forum aims to provide a platform for Entrepreneurs-to-Entrepreneurs bilateral meetings and   matching with the aim of developing joint investments, collaboration and trade facilitation.

• Develop an action plan towards achieving resilience and the SDGs by focusing entrepreneurship, innovation and investment; through the WEIF Dubai Declaration

• Allow the participants to deliberate on the challenges, opportunities, threats, and the road forward towards achieving the SDGs and ISID in the backdrop of the 4IR and COVID.
